The work of the Church of the Nazarene in Tonga began in 1998 with Doc and Charmagne Old. Their passion was to reach out to the handicapped and disabled of these islands in the name of Christ.

Today, the vision they had is coming true. The Church of the Nazarene runs the Mango Tree Respite Center, where the Kims, regional missionaries from Korea, live and work and pour out Jesus's love specifically to these hurting people.
